Labor Law

Lane & Waterman's labor relations lawyers have considerable experience in counseling employers on matters such as work force reductions and early retirement programs, federal contract compliance, whistleblower laws, executive contracts, wage-hour matters, trade secret protection and labor standards. The firm frequently consults on labor relations issues growing out of mergers, acquisitions and other corporate reorganizations and restructuring, in both union and non-union settings.

Lane & Waterman also represents clients in union organizing campaigns, from pre-petition stage through post-election procedures, and National Labor Relations Board or NLRB proceedings such as representation elections and unfair labor practice charges. For clients whose employees are organized, the firm represents management in collective bargaining negotiations and advises company representatives on their rights under their collective bargaining agreements.
